July 18th, 5:30 – 8:30 pm Visit our tent on Third Thursday (Downtown Joplin) & we will teach you the basics for building a shoe-box boat to float in your own pool/bathtub or race at the Shoal Creek Water Festival on August 10th. Expert builders will be on hand to help kids ages 3 to 12. Adults are expected and required to hang around during the construction of these sea-worthy vessels. Kids will have the opportunity to sign up for the official Shoe-box Boat Race during this event.
