In celebration of Winter Solstice, we will hike the Wildcat Park Trail- a total of 4 miles, on December 21st for ages 13+ Meet us at the Wildcat Cottage (301 Riviera Drive Joplin- next to Shoal Creek Conservation Education Center) at 3:00. Hikers will each receive a “Winter Solstice Beanie.”
Please wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring your water bottle and your trekking poles or walking sticks. This will be an average-paced hike with a few stops along the way where our guides will highlight areas Wildcat Glades Friends have made improvements along the trail.
One portion of the trail will be a steeper climb (trekking poles will be helpful!)
The group will return to the Wildcat Cottage for hot cocoa by 5:00 pm.
